As a faith-based organization, Daughters of Charity Services of Arkansas is dedicated to upholding Christian values in our services as we provide quality, holistic care to the residents of Lincoln County, Desha County, and others in the Arkansas Delta.

The goal of our neighborhood-based programs is to increase accessibility to family medical care, dental care, mental health care, and social services to all families throughout southeast Arkansas.

Family Medicine

Here at Daughters of Charity Services of Arkansas, our focus is on helping patients in rural areas of Arkansas receive the medical care they need and deserve. We strive to provide quality medical care in a small and personal setting.

Our primary care doctors and nurse practitioners are dedicated to treating the whole person, and they are qualified to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions in patients of all ages. Among the services they provide are:

  • Physical exams and preventive care, including health screenings
  • Children’s health care and well-child visits
  • Diagnosis and management of common medical conditions
  • Care for chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, and high cholesterol

Dental Care

Our highly qualified dentist and dental hygienist offer preventive, general, and restorative oral health services for your whole family. We are dedicated to educating the residents of Arkansas about good oral health and the benefits of dentistry.

Our dentist, serves local communities in southeastern Arkansas by promoting good oral hygiene through educational services provided at schools, daycare centers, preschools, Head Start programs, nursing homes, and health fairs.

Mental Health Services

The types of mental illness interventions vary and may include individual or family therapy, support groups.

Our goal at Daughters of Charity Services of Arkansas is to help people suffering from mental illness or behavioral disorders and develop skills to go from just surviving to thriving.

Pharmacy Assistance

Daughters of Charity Services of Arkansas is dedicated to meeting the needs of the people of southeastern Arkansas. Many of our patients cannot afford prescription medications, and we can help them obtain discounted pricing to assist with the high cost of prescriptions. 

Our pharmacy assistance program helps our patients receive free or low-cost medications utilizing web-based software in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies.

Social Services

Daughters of Charity Services of Arkansas provides numerous social services for residents of Lincoln and Desha Counties, including case management, assessment, and emergency assistance. Within the limits of available grants, we provide assistance for medication, specialist care, food, utilities, or other needs that cannot be met due to inability to pay.

When full charity care is requested for medical services, we explore options for resources and make recommendations.

We also help people apply for and/or appeal decisions for benefits such as Medicaid, Medicare, or food stamps.

Hispanic Medical Interpretation

Daughters of Charity Services of Arkansas provides medical interpretation for our Hispanic patients. Our Hispanic community coordinator and language interpreter is available at both our health centers in Gould and Dumas. For assistance, call (870) 382-3080 ext. 3802.
